It's not about me.

Anonymous: Ok, take a step back and look at why you believe in God- are you clinging to faith because you are too weak to cling to yourself, or have you grown up with it drilled into your head? Or do you really believe? You are ignorant.
Dear Anonymous,
You are right about one thing, I am too weak to cling to myself and this is why I cling to Christ so desperately. Apart from Him I am nothing and have nothing to offer. However, I have not created a God to cling to but rather, I cling to the one I was created to need. I wish I could explain in mere word who God is or what Christ has done for His people, but I simply can not. I wish I could allow you to see that I know I am broken and terrible person and perhaps ignorant about things at times, which is why I need Christ so much. He is the only one who can change my dark heart. One thing I can say is that I was not raised a Christian. No one in my family is a believer and they disagree with the truth that God has shown me. I can assure you nothing was drilled into my head growing up accept for that I was my own master. God was never relevant until He made Himself relevant in my life. I promise you I really believe this. With all of my heart and soul I know it to be true. I will pray that He reveals the same truth to you. Thanks for having the boldness say what you wanted to say to me, feel free to comment in the future. I would love to talk to you more about this!
In John 12, there is one of my all-time favorite Bible stories: Basically, Jesus has come to Jerusalem for Passover, and this is after having raised Lazarus from the dead. Well, a lot of people were excited, because they had met Lazarus, and had known that the dude had been dead for a few days……

Just thought you might need this whoever you are. God bless :)
God is a holy, holy, holy god. He does have the freedom to judge you however He wants to. I don’t care how much you feel something, desire something, believe God ought to do something a certain way. He’s not bound to your feelings, your notions, your opinions. He doesn’t care what [I] conjure up in my head of what I think ought to be right or ought to be wrong. He says, ‘You’re not God. I am. And here’s what I say is right and wrong.’
It doesn’t matter that you say, ‘He has no right to punish me. He has no right to have this type of wrath. Or a loving God can’t create a place of punishment.’ You need to understand: God does whatever He wants to do, and it’s not about you. Maybe you’ve lived this weird Disney Land life where people bow down to you and really care about your opinion. That’s not the way God is. I don’t care how powerful you are. I don’t care how much money you have. I don’t care how good you look. I don’t care how popular you think you are. You’re nothing. I’m nothing in the presence of God. … But because of the blood of Christ, He calls me His child.

Probably the most straight-up thing he has ever said.
